Christopher Mueller is a highly regarded choral composer and conductor, serving as organist & choirmaster at St. Louis Betrand Church in Louisville, KY.

Previously he was the founding director of music at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in D.C., where he established a program of liturgical music for the daily and Sunday afternoon Masses, as well as the organist & choirmaster at the Church of St. Bernadette in Silver Spring, MD.  He directed the choir & orchestra at the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders, held in 2017 in Orlando, FL, as well as the choir & orchestra at the Mercy Centre at World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków, Poland, where he led the music at daily Mass for 18,000 pilgrims at Tauron Arena.

He is the founding director of the Ars Mueller ensemble and of Trio Triumvirum.  He was the co-founder and assistant director of the Young New Yorkers' Chorus for sixteen seasons, and has also held positions of the principal organist at Saint Mary Parish (Stamford, CT); organist & choirmaster of the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford, CT; organist & choirmaster for the Church of Notre Dame (New York, NY); and director of music for the Columbia University Catholic Campus Ministry (New York, NY).  He has worked with professional choirs, amateur choirs, student choirs, and children's choirs.

His family ensemble, the Mueller Family Schola, has sung numerous Masses and concerts at home and abroad.

His congregational Mass setting, Missa pro editione tertia, is used at English-language parishes around the globe, and he is the composer of over 200 sacred choral works, most of which are for sale here.

He is also the founding director of the St. Michael Foundation for Polyphony & Chant, whose goal is to promote the use of polyphony and chant in the Roman Catholic Mass and elsewhere.

In addition to his work as a conductor, singer, composer, and jazz pianist, Chris was, for 7 1/2 years, the Coordinator of Marriage Preparation Programs for the Archdiocese of New York.  He is a graduate of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, and is happily married, with three radiant children.
