He was the conductor of the choir & orchestra at the Mercy Centre at World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków, Poland, where he led the music at daily Mass for 18,000 pilgrims at Tauron Arena.
He is the founding director of the Ars Mueller ensemble, the founding director of Trio Triumvirum, the co-founder and assistant director of the Young New Yorkers' Chorus, and the principal organist at Saint Mary Parish, Stamford, CT. He has worked with professional choirs, amateur choirs, student choirs, and children's choirs.
His family ensemble, the Mueller Family Schola, has sung numerous Masses and concerts at home and abroad.
His congregational Mass setting, Missa pro editione tertia, is used at English-language parishes around the globe, and he is the composer of over 200 sacred choral works, most of which are for sale here.
He is also the founding director of the Christopher Mueller Foundation for Polyphony & Chant, whose goal is to promote the use of polyphony and chant in the Roman Catholic Mass and elsewhere.
In addition to his work as a conductor, singer, composer, and jazz pianist, Chris was, for 7 1/2 years, the Coordinator of Marriage Preparation Programs for the Archdiocese of New York. He is a graduate of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, and is happily married, with three radiant children.
